Stephanie Okereke Now Works For Queen Of England

Nollywood actress, Stephanie Okereke Linus is currently working with the Queen of England on a youth empowerment initiative.

 The pretty, dark-skinned actress was specially chosen alongside Desmond Tutu, a South African Archbishop, for the global initiative.

"Exceptional young men and women aged between 18 and 29 who are taking the lead in their communities and using their skills to transform lives are invited to apply for a Queen's Young Leaders Awards, in honor of Her Majesty The Queen", Mrs. Linus said, while disclosing that the Queen's Young Leaders Awards seeks to discover, celebrate and support young people from every corner of the commonwealth nations by helping to transform their own lives and the lives of others around them. 

Mrs. Stephanie Linus added that "This will support winners to develop the amazing work they are already doing in their communities".

The actress is responsible for creating awareness in Nigeria for the initiative and equally hopes that Nigerian young will apply in large numbers to win the awards.

The Imo state born actress is also a film director and a model. She has received several nominations and awards for her work as an actress, including the 2003 Reel Award for Best Actress, the 2006 Afro Hollywood Award for Best Actress, and three nominations for Best Actress In a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2005, 2009, and 2010.

She was also the runner up for the Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria beauty pageant of 2012. 

In 2011, Stephanie was honored by the Nigerian government with a National honor. (Member of the Order of The Federal Republic, MFR).
